Spanish Verb Conjugation Explanation Present Tense Regular Verbs - This is a very simplified walk through the process of changing infinitives to conjugated verbs. It can be used to introduce verb conjugations and is very helpful as a student reference. It can even be given to parents who would like to help their children practice the new concept of conjugating verbs.

Spain Booklets - Libritos de Espana - Introduce your students to Spanish culture! These booklets contain many things for which Spain is famous such as flamenco, bullfighting, running of the bulls, soccer, olives, castles, cathedrals, Iberian ham and Don Quixote. Students first cut, assemble and read the booklet that contains text and illustrations. They then create their own version using the text only template. Each booklet contains 12 pages: the title page with 11 additional pages. This item also includes suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the vocabulary words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.

Spanish 2 Day Class Schedule Sentences - Ser, Tener, and Ordinal Numbers - Students compose sentences for their schedules on 2 different days using ser for one and tener for the other. They will use ordinal numbers for both. Also included is a list of ordinal numbers from first to tenth with a brief explanation of their uses. These are copied 2 per page for student reference handouts.

Spanish Adjectives & Ser Sentences - 12 Fill in Blank & Translate to English - Students practice ser conjugations with 12 fill in the blank sentences which they must then also translate to English. The sentences contain descriptive adjectives, most of which are cognates. Two sentences deal with ser for origin. A full conjugation of ser is included and there is a work bank to assist students with their translations. There are also 5 clip art images that students are instructed to identify with a Spanish descriptive adjective.

Como es is repeated several times, each response includes at least 2 descriptive adjectives (there are 12 different adjectives used in the skit) and each line contains a conjugation of the verb ser. The skit is short enough to memorize, yet contains a variety of family and adjectives vocabulary. The skit is copied 2 per page for student handouts and the English translation is included.

This is a 2-person, 12 line skit between a grandpa and his granddaughter who is unfamiliar with the Three Kings' Day tradition of bringing gifts to children. The skit contains grammatical structures such as "tener que + infinitive", "ir a + infinitive", "conocer a", as well as useful phrases such as "de verdad" and "que bueno." The English translation is included. The skit is copied 2 per page for student handouts.

These are fun activities because many of the English translations of the false cognates are so different than the meanings that students expect. The activities are great for dictionary practice, and work well for substitute teacher lessons. Examples of the 30 false cognates are: arena campo receta tuna carpeta noticia recordar The download includes: 1. One page with 30 false cognates that students must translate to English. One page with 30 false cognates and 2 columns for students to complete: One with the English word that the cognate resembles, and one with the actual translation of the English word that the cognate resembles. Students practice subject pronouns and -ar verb conjugations. This item contains: 1. 20 simple -ar verb conjagation sentences such as "I practice in the gym." 2. 15 subject pronouns. Students must work backword by determining the subject pronoun that corresponds to either a conjugated verb such as "pescan" or a subject such as "Ronaldo". 3. Word bank of 25 common -ar verbs in both Spanish and English. This is a separate paper and copied 2 per page for student handouts. 4.
